.: JonoFport - What is it? :.
.: Introduction;
To put it straight, the JonoFport for Duke Nukem 3D (jfDuke3D for short) is basically your only chance of every properly playing the game on modern operating systems such as Windows XP. And now for the more technical approach;

The JonoFport is an open-source OpenGL-port of Duke Nukem 3D for modern operating systems such as Windows XP and Linux. The port also comes with JonoF's port of the 3D-engine of Duke3D, Build. The author of the Build engine, Ken Silverman, has also contribute to the JonoFport by writing a brandnew 3D-renderer called Polymost.

Several key enhancements are;
- Ability to change the games resolution
- Stability on modern Window operating systems
- OpenGL rendering support (Polymost)
- True-Color texture support
- Ability to use models for enemies and objects, replacing the previously used sprites. (MD2/MD3 currently supported.)
- Ability to play against opponents over Local Area Networks or the internet.

.: EDuke32 / Mapster32;
Eduke32 is based on the JonoFport of Duke3D to provide more features for MOD- and TC-authors then the original game has got to offer. It's has also been merged with Enhanced Duke Nukem 3D (EDuke for short) by Matt Saettler.

Next to EDuke32 is Mapster32, which is basically jfBuild with a whole lot more features for the Dukemapper. Several enhancements are made to make building levels for Duke3D even easier. If you think Build was a tad too tough for you then now is the time to give it another shot with Mapster32.

The official site of EDuke32 and Mapster32 can be accessed right here.
